Side-by-side

Side-by-side shotguns are considered to be the more traditional of the two double-barrel varieties. They are also generally lighter in weight making them easier to maneuvers but with more recoil. The mechanisms in side-by-side shotguns are also simpler, which makes them safer less prone to mechanical malfunctions.
